2nd place – $3000Bill Wilder, Maura Wilder & Joan Linskey (husband & wife & sister-in-law) Team: AmazaBoston “Make the world a little better” – An iPad shopping list app, using product ingredients to determinate if items on your shopping list are healthy, environmentally sound, and socially responsible. A shopper can filter food by flagging it or not showing foods based on their preferences, such as don’t show me anything with high fructose corn syrup or only show me fair trade foods. Shoppers can also share their list and filters on Social Media to their friends & followers. |

3rd place – $2000Tristan Davies Team: Tristan Davies “Preventing the Sticker Shock at Check Out” – a mobile app that allows shoppers to scan bar codes of items as they put them into their cart while keeping a grand total that pulls specific store prices based on geo location of the shopper. Tristan was about to give up. He went home, fell asleep and dreamt about Grocery Shopping and came back with his 3rd place winning idea. |
